Advice and Videos

My courses are structured in a way that is fitting to my beliefs on how players should approach learning and improving their tennis game. I believe that many other tennis clubs do a great job of teaching players technique and strategy however most of them neglect a major part of the game - how players prepare their bodies for competition.

Every player has different strengths and weaknesses when it comes to the game of tennis. However in the few years that I have begun coaching I have seen that many players lack the speed and strength necessary to improve consistently.

If a player lacks strength or speed it can become unimportant how good their technique is. For players that are not strong enough they will not be able to control the racquet in the same way, they will lack coordination and they will never be able to hit a strong ball outside of their strike zone.

If a player lacks speed or agility they will be consistently out of position for the ball and will be extremely inconsistent because of it.

Having one or both of these weaknesses can cause player’s improvement to stagnate no matter how much they play.

Many of you already recognize these points so I would just like to make the advice that players need to learn how to workout on their own. When I was in middle school I learned many exercises and my dad built a small at home gym for me. This allowed me to workout consistently and build great habits of responsibility and initiative from a young age. If you are looking for a place to start, I recommend going to my workouts page to check out my at home tennis athleticism challenge. This also includes a brief nutrition guide and accountability program for players to get the fastest results.

To the right are a few videos to show examples of players I coach in action improving their athleticism!
